It’s no surprise that a club as old as Wanganui Golf Club has collected an impressive array of trophies, many of them with significant provenance.
Despite the fire that destroyed the clubhouse in the March, 2001, many of these priceless trophies were saved, and in some cases lovingly restored.
While the history of some of them is lost in time, we can provide the background to some of the more significant of them.
